Where do I get rollers?
My favourite options are outlined in our customer resources section.
How many drops should I add to my diffuser?
This is personal choice but I like about 5 - 8 depending on the oils.
Are my oils safe for babies and children?
They are when used properly. I do not recommend internal use for small children. ALWAYS dilute carefully take extra care with very hot oils. Please see our Handy Charts page to get you started safely and build on your own experience. Keep your oils out of reach and do not let small children play with or handle your oils.
Can I use my oils if I am pregnant?
There are some that should be avoided or heavily diluted. Contact your experienced upline through your enroller for guidance or consult the Modern Essentials book or APP. Please check with your enroller. dōTERRA oils are the most tested and trusted oils on the planet. Always consult with your doctor when pregnant. I also suggest that you follow The Essential Midwife on Facebook and you can buy her excellent book Essential Oils for Pregnancy, Birth and Babies (available from Aromatools Australia), which is written specific to CPTG (Certified Therapeutic Grade) oils.
Can you overdose on oils?
Absolutely - too much of anything can be less than ideal so start off slowly and monitor your own feelings and responses. If you feel something does not agree with you try diluting further or stop using. Refer to the dosage chart on our Handy Charts page.
Can you have allergic reactions to oils?
Essential oils do not contain allergens, and therefore cannot cause a true allergic reaction. An allergic reaction occurs when the body experiences an abnormal immune reaction following exposure to a protein molecule that is typically harmless. CPTG essential oils are made up completely of volatile aromatic compounds found in nature; they don't contain any protein molecules - so they cannot create a true allergic response. If a skin sensitivity occurs, try diluting further with fractionated coconut oil or avoid that oil. Listen to your body and your intuition.
Essential oil safety
If you have ANY pre-exisisting medical condition it is your responsibility to research the safety recommendations for any essential oil before beginning use and of course always seek the advice of your professional healthcare provider. Some oils will not be best for certain health conditions and should be used with caution or completely avoided.
